How this troubleshooter works

The fixes come from our troubleshooting guide, which is based on reading TranslucentTB 2026.2's source: which code path runs on each Windows version, what each error message means, and what each install type includes. Your answers pick and order the relevant fixes. For example, the portable build can't run on Windows 10, Scoop installs the portable build, and StartAllBack or Windhawk taskbar mods are reported to conflict, so those move to the top when they apply.

What's the fastest fix for TranslucentTB not working?

Press Ctrl+Alt+Shift+F1 (version 2026.2 and later) to reset its state. If that doesn't help, exit it from the tray, restart Windows Explorer in Task Manager and start TranslucentTB again.

Where do I report a TranslucentTB bug?

On the project's GitHub issues page. This site is independent and can't fix the app, but the report this tool builds includes what the developers usually ask for.
